Piano: Wong Kajeng
The Protagonist of the documentary ‘KJ’
Flute: Wilson Ng (NG)
Just finished 4 years of flute learning in Paris.

Will join Conservatoire de Lausanne Haute Ecole de Musique as a BA student.  Two music prodigies - the 19 years old KJ, a piano player (the protagonist of the documentary ‘KJ’), and the 20 years old NG, a flute player - will share their flamboyant performance and unique insights about music with us. They will let us know what their favourite composers and music are, such as Bach, Beethoven, Spanish classical music and French flute music.

They started to study music in this city and they won a lot of prizes despite their young age.  However, they still have to leave this city temporarily to study overseas so as to develop their strength further. Now KJ is studying piano performance in the States and NG flute playing in France. They will tell us what music means to them and how music education should be so that young people can enjoy music learning and playing with genuine passion and vision. Their original and lightning exchange will for sure lead us to re-visit the primal vivacity of classical music. The journey will be rare and full of bewilderment. It will be unorthodox yet ‘sensational’ and ‘controversial’ as KJ always likes to engage himself in.

An additional concert - “Only Music” will be held on 3 August (Tue) at 6 to 7pm at the multi-media theatre of HKSC. All ticket holders of “KJ & NG - Music is Music” can attend this concert free of charge. Interested ticket holders please reserve seats via phone (2339-7370) or email ( This e-mail address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it ). Seats are limited and will therefore be reserved on a first-come-first-served basis.
